In the first quarter of 2026, Akoth Community Foundation reached a critical milestone in its mission to transform lives across rural Uganda. We are proud to share the following impact metrics:
**Education Programme** - 2,400 children benefited from scholastic material distributions - 15 schools received learning resource packs - 8 teacher training workshops held, reaching 120 educators - 3 learning centres established in remote zones
**Health Initiatives** - 3-day free health camp in Gulu District reached 1,200 individuals - 450 malaria treatments administered - 300 maternal health consultations provided - 150 HIV counselling sessions offered
**Livelihood & Skills** - Vocational training centre in Iganga welcomed first cohort of 120 youth - 89% graduation rate for previous cohorts - 156 micro-loans issued to youth entrepreneurs - Average micro-business revenue growth: 45% quarter-over-quarter
**Community Infrastructure** - Started drilling on third borehole in Nakaseke (completion expected June 2026) - Trained 60 community maintenance volunteers - Installed hand-washing stations in 8 health facilities
**Volunteer Engagement** - 300+ volunteer hours contributed - 45 new registered volunteers - 12 volunteer-led community mobilization events
